At Selly, we understand that every dealership operates slightly differently. Some dealerships only want certain members of their team communicating with Facebook leads. Other dealerships might want everyone on their team interacting with Facebook leads. Going even further, some dealers may want certain sales members to be able to read Facebook conversations, but not have the ability to respond to Facebook leads they aren’t assigned to. With our new Facebook Messenger Tool, Managers can decide how they want their team interacting with the Facebook Messenger tool. We’ve found that the best way to accommodate as many dealerships as possible is by offering granular permission settings for each of the Selly Users at your dealership.
(Note: Managing Facebook Permissions is a Manager-only functionality. Selly Users with Salesperson accounts are not allowed to manage the Facebook-related permissions.)
If you are a Manager, you can manage the Facebook Tool permission settings for each Salesperson on your team by navigating to the Facebook Messenger Tool Settings within the Settings page.
Scroll down to the Facebook User Permission Settings section.
Here’s where you can enable (or disable) the Facebook Tool for all Selly Salespeople.
(Note: Managers-type Users will always have Full Access to the Facebook Tool, so you don’t have to worry about managing their permission settings.)
Enabling the Facebook Messenger tool for certain Salespeople
You can grant or restrict access to the Sales members of your team by enabling/disabling the Has Access toggle. The Facebook Messenger tool will be visible to Salespeople that have Has Access set to On, and it will be hidden from Salespeople that have Has Access set to Off.
Managing the level of interaction for each Salesperson
Salespeople that have access to the Facebook Tool can interact with Facebook conversations by Viewing conversations and Responding to conversations. As a Manager, you’re able to set restrictions on which types of conversations a given Salesperson is able to View and Respond to. Both of these types of interactions can be set independently from one another.
As seen in the above image, each Salesperson has a View Access Level and a Respond Access Level. For both of these permissions, you can set one of the following Access Levels:
-
Limited Access
-
Standard Access
-
Full Access
Limited Access
Viewing with Limited Access
Salespeople that have Limited Access for their View permission can only view Facebook Conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that they are assigned to. This means that they can't view Facebook Conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that aren’t assigned to them, and they can’t view Facebook Conversations that are not yet associated with Selly Clients.
Responding with Limited Access
Salespeople that have Limited Access for their Respond permission can only send messages to Facebook Conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that they are assigned to. They can’t send messages to conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that aren’t assigned to them, and they can’t respond to Facebook Conversations that are not yet associated with Selly Clients.
Standard Access
Viewing with Standard Access
Salespeople that have Standard Access for their View permission can view both Facebook Conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that they are assigned to, as well as conversations that are not yet associated with Selly Clients. They can’t view conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that aren’t assigned to them.
Responding with Standard Access
Salespeople that have Standard Access for their Respond permission can send messages to both Facebook Conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that they are assigned to, as well as conversations that are not yet associated with Selly Clients. They can’t send messages to conversations that are associated with Selly Clients that aren’t assigned to them.
Full Access
Viewing with Full Access
Salespeople that have Full Access for their View permission can view every Facebook conversation, regardless of the Selly Client that is associated with the conversation (if at all). This is the same level of access that a Manager has.
Responding with Full Access
Salespeople that have Full Access for their Respond permission can send messages to any Facebook conversation, regardless of the Selly Client that is associated with the conversation (if at all). This is the same level of access that a Manager has.
