Happy October, Selly Dealers!

Read on to find out what we've been working on lately.

Credit Application Leads from V12 Software

Credit application leads submitted via V12 Software websites will now be displayed properly on the Lead Details page and on the Client's "Notes" field. Previously, credit application data did not appear on the Lead Details page.

Automatic Deal-creation from Internet Leads

This new free feature is in Early Access, and throughout the next couple of weeks we'll be collecting feedback and making minor adjustments before making it available to all Selly dealerships. With this feature enabled, nearly every Internet Lead submitted to your dealership will have a deal automatically created for it. This automates the manual and tedious process of creating deals for each Internet Lead that you receive.

Smaller Updates and Improvements

  • Phone number-type merge tags within text and email templates will now be formatted in a way that makes it easier to read. (Example: "(650) 409-2526" instead of "6504092526")
  • We'll no longer be allowing you to change the Task Type for an existing work plan setting it's already been created. For example, you won't be able to change a "Call"-type task to an "Email"-type task. If you really need to change the Task Type of a work plan setting, we recommend simply creating a brand new work plan setting with the desired Task Type and disabling or deleting the old one.
  • We've added a couple of new Vehicle Type options: ATV and Side by side.

Some issues we've addressed

  • We've made optimizations to our DL Scanner on both Android and iOS in order to accommodate more drivers license variations. We made this update because some newer licenses have a certain encoding that made it difficult to process the data properly.
  • There was an issue that caused certain Work Plan SmartTexts with Appointment Time merge tags to send an incorrect appointment time. This issue has been resolved.
  • We've made a small update on our Internet Lead parser to treat "sell" -type vehicles as trade-ins, as previously it was not treating those types of leads as trade-in-type leads.
  • Filtering on the Clients module was not working properly when filtering Clients by deal stage. We were able to address this issue immediately once the issue was reported.
  • The Appointments analytics data on the General Analytics page was showing the number of appointments created on a given day, rather than the number of appointments scheduled for a given day. It's more intuitive for this metric to mean the number of appointments scheduled for a given day, so we made that change.
  • When clicking on the More Info button underneath a User on the Manager's dashboard, the data that was being returned was improperly calculating data dealer-wide, rather than user-wide. We've made updates to our calculations to remedy this issue.
