Important Deal Update - Removing the Vehicle Requirement

We’ll no longer be requiring you to select a Selly Vehicle when creating a Deal (at least until they are marked as Sold!).

In the past, all Deals required a Selly Vehicle to be selected, even when the Client didn’t know exactly which vehicle they had in mind. This requirement forced many dealers to implement less-than-ideal workarounds, including the creation of “dummy” vehicles in their inventory. Along with this poor practice having its own performance-related issues, it also added unnecessary steps to the workflows of our Users as they created and managed Deals.

With these new changes in place, you won’t be forced to select a Selly Vehicle if you’re creating a Deal in some non-Sold stage. You can simply skip the step of selecting a vehicle, and save the Deal without any issues.

Additionally, you’ll be able to remove vehicles from Deals that are in non-Sold stages without having to select a different vehicle. In order to do this, simply hover over the Selly Vehicle, and click on the red X button that appears on the corner of the vehicle.

You’ll now be able to add a vehicle to the Deal at a later point when the client is ready by clicking on the Add Vehicle button.

These changes are a part of our efforts here at Selly to make a more flexible Deal-management tool for our dealers.
